How long before we can walk on the lawn?

Once ColourGuard has dried on the grass leaf in most cases within 2 hours provided there is full sunlight that day.

What happens if it rains?

Once the application has set into your lawn it will not wash ColourGuard away or cause any unwanted affect.

Can I mow my lawn after ColourGuard application?

Yes. Providing you don’t set the mower to low and scalp your lawn. ColourGuard is permanent and will disappear as the grass leaf grows. Mowing through winter is only to remove and clean up leaves and debris from your lawn.

Our Village Green Kikuyu is a small to medium leaf (finer than regular Kikuyu), warm season grass with very high self-repairing properties that make it perfect for high traffic areas or dogs who love to dig.

Village Green Kikuyu has a rich green colour and is a hardy, aggressive grass. The runners will make their way underground into garden beds and under paths if not kept under control.

Village Green Kikuyu can be cut lower than many grasses without causing damage and should be kept between 25-50mm.

Rhizomatous Tall Rescue (RTF) has been developed as a beautiful grass with all the features of the EasiCare with the added advantage of producing rhizomes. These rhizomes send shoots up through the lawn whilst establishing independent root systems for new plants, thus enabling self-repair for dry or hard worn patches.

RTF will establish faster than the regular Tall Fescue, so you can enjoy it and water less much sooner.

LSA Turf Warranty: Lawn Solutions Australia provides a 10 year warranty for instant turf from the date of installation. It is important to follow the laying and care instructions provided with your turf delivery. Due to the perishable nature of turf, it must be installed immediately upon delivery. If any issues arise, you must notify us in writing within 8 hours of delivery. Please ensure that you make yourself familiar with the warranty conditions. Sir Walter Buffalo is a creeping grass that moves over the surface making it easy to edge. It’s not as invasive as other varieties of grass such as Kikuyu or Couch. Sir Walter loves both the sun and is shade tolerant, it may lose some colour in the winter, though this will improve with age. Installation is recommended from September through to May. Once Sir Walter is established it requires much less water than other varieties of turf. A good water once a week is generally enough, however in extreme conditions it may need extra. During the winter months Sir Walter rarely needs irrigation.

As with all lawns you must wait until the lawn is fully established before mowing. Sir Walter needs to be top dressed with washed sand at a rate of half a cubic meter to every 100 square meters. Focus mainly on the joins and edges to stop it drying out. For the healthiest lawn fertilise at the start of each season.

Instant Lawn stocks a range of Sir Walter fertiliser products to keep your lawn looking and feeling as healthy as possible. Sir Walter Fertiliser comes in a 10kg bucket.

A 10kg bucket will cover 400-500m2. For best results fertilise your lawn at least three times a year, or at the start of each season.
